Building Site Security in Officer
Officer sits between Beaconsfield and Pakenham in Cardinia Shire, one of Melbourne’s designated growth areas. Much of the suburb is still being built out, so it is common to see several builders working in the same street at once.
When neighbouring lots are all under construction, materials and tools are easy targets once trades leave for the day. A camera covering your slab, frame and delivery area gives you footage of exactly what happened and when.
How It Works on Your Site
On a new estate, our systems work from slab stage, before power, fencing or neighbours are in place. Each pole carries its own solar panel, battery, 4G/5G modem and cameras, so it records day and night and sends intrusion alerts straight to your phone. You can check live footage, play back recordings and download clips whenever you need them. Every system comes with warning signage, and some models, such as the Ninja and Max, add a strobe and siren.
Systems and Weekly Hire Rates
Builders working several neighbouring lots often put a Builders Eye Pro on each site, or use a Twin to cover two lots from a shared boundary.
| System | Cameras | Hire (inc GST) |
|---|---|---|
| Builders Eye | 8MP camera | $50/week |
| Builders Eye Pro | 8MP 180° panoramic camera | $60/week |
| Builders Eye Twin | Dual 8MP cameras | $70/week |
| Builders Eye Pro Twin | Dual 8MP 180° cameras | $90/week |
| Builders Eye Ninja | 4MP PTZ, 4x zoom, strobe and siren | $60/week |
| Builders Eye Max | 8MP security + 12MP timelapse | $60/week |
Hire starts from $35/week inc GST with the Builders Eye Lite (self-managed, Optus 4G, limited availability). Compare every system on our solar CCTV systems page, or see solar CCTV hire in Melbourne for the full hire range.

Officer FAQs
Do you service Officer?
Yes. We install solar CCTV systems on building and construction sites in Officer and nearby areas, including Beaconsfield and Berwick.
Do I need power or Wi-Fi on site?
No. Every system is solar powered and 4G/5G connected, so it runs without mains power or a site internet connection.
How much does solar CCTV hire cost in Officer?
Weekly hire starts at $50 inc GST for the Builders Eye. Standard installation in Officer is $160 inc GST, as part of our Melbourne Metro service area.
Can one system cover a whole estate lot?
Usually, yes. A 180° camera such as the Builders Eye Pro covers a wide frontage, and twin-camera systems cover two directions from one pole. For larger or irregular sites we can recommend more than one system.
Can I add monitoring or timelapse?
Yes. Professional monitoring through a Melbourne-based control room is available for $15 per camera per week inc GST, and a dedicated timelapse camera can be added to any of our systems.
